Scarecrow trails, conker championships, apple juicing, bug hotel building, bulb planting and woodland adventures for the whole family.
This autumn, we’re launching something completely new at Evenley Wood Garden, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Our first-ever Autumn Festival is a celebration of everything we love about this wonderful season. As the woodland transforms into a spectacular display of gold, amber and crimson, families can enjoy a programme of outdoor adventures, seasonal traditions, hands-on activities and nature-inspired experiences throughout the garden.
Whether you’re exploring with little ones, spending time with grandparents, or simply looking for a beautiful day out amongst the autumn colours, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Follow the Scarecrow Trail
Set off on a woodland adventure as you hunt for our imaginative scarecrow characters hidden amongst the trees and garden paths. Pick up a trail sheet and see if you can find them all.
Take on the Conker Championship
Think you’ve got what it takes to become Evenley’s first Autumn Festival Conker Champion? Join us for some friendly competition and plenty of seasonal fun.
Celebrate the Harvest
Watch apples transformed into delicious fresh juice during our Apple Juicing events and discover one of autumn’s most traditional pleasures.
Plant for Spring – Every Saturday Morning from 10:30am – 12:30pm
Join our bulb planting activities and help create next year’s display of snowdrops, daffodils and spring flowers. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to get their hands dirty and leave their own mark on the garden.
Build a Bug Hotel – Every Sunday Morning from 10:30am – 12:30pm
Using natural woodland materials, families can create miniature wildlife havens while learning about the important role insects play in our gardens and countryside.
