Workshop – Photography

Hosted by Dan Evans

Through exercise and discussion, Dan will show you some principles of colour, light, viewpoint and camera settings. He will then talk you though his 5 golden rules for flower photography and give you a slide show of professional images he has taken of Evenley Wood Garden to give you both direction and ideas.

The remainder of the afternoon will be spent in the garden, with Dan showing you some classic shots and ample opportunity to take your own photographs, with help on hand, if you need it.

The overall aims are to develop your skills and awareness to help you to capture impactful photographs of flowers and gardens and to appreciate and enjoy photography more.

Group sizes are small, the tone will be informal, and there will be ample opportunity to ask questions. The expectation is of a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon in a beautiful, peaceful setting.

Refreshments are included.

Dates: 7th August and 2nd October – 13:00-16:00

Price: £40 per person (includes refreshments)

Requirements: Your own photography equipment

Please dress appropriately for the weather.
