Evenley Wood... A Private Woodland Garden
Set amongst the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, this 60 acre, private woodland garden offers a huge variety of plants ranging from trees and shrubs, to a wide selection of bulbs, including a substantial collection of lilies, to roses and climbers.
The garden's unlikely band of acid soil, in this predominantly alkaline area, provides the opportunity to cultivate plants such as Rhododendrons, Camellias and Magnolias, which would not ordinarily thrive in this location.
We welcome all manner of visitors on our open days, from the layman to the expert, catering for those who wish to casually stroll, to the keen amateur, through to those with a professional interest in particular plants. Help and advice is available where necessary from the owner or a member of the team.
Alternatively you can contact us to arrange a personal or group visit if you have a genuine plant passion.
We have a comprehensive list of over 3,100 plants contained within the garden, which can be viewed prior to your arrival.
Please feel free to browse the list if you are looking for the presence of a particular specimen or are interested in certain genera. All plants are well labelled for identification during your visit.
